The Philadelphia Phillies (72-50) seem to be back on track after winning three in a row entering the weekend. With a couple of their key players expected to return from the injured list soon, the Phillies are hopeful that that will remain the case.

    10/15-Day Injured List

    LHP Ranger Suarez

Suarez (10-5, 2.87 ERA; lower back soreness) threw a two-inning simulated game on August 13th. He is expected to throw another simulated game on August 17th or 18th and return to the Phillies for their Kansas City trip. Manager Rob Thomson said that they may employ a six-man rotation when Suarez returns.

    OF Austin Hays

Hays (left hamstring strain) will not be activated from the injured list on August 18th when he is eligible. He has still yet to advance to running the bases. He is expected to return before the end of August.

Hays played in 10 games with the Phillies before injuring his hamstring. He was batting .263/.282/.395 with three extra-base hits, and four RBI. The club is hopeful that Hays can pick up where he left off upon his return.

    RHP Spencer Turnbull

Turnbull (3-0, 2.65 ERA; right lat strain) was expected to throw off of a mound earlier this week in Clearwater, Florida but the right-hander experienced soreness so the club canceled that. The plan is for Turnbull to get extra rest and try again at the end of the upcoming week. Turnbull is expected back in September, but in a relief role as there will not be enough time to build his workload to that of a starter.
