This offseason, college football saw seismic changes to how conferences look. One of the more notable changes was the departure from the Pac-12. The Washington Huskies, Oregon Ducks, UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, California Golden Bears, Stanford Cardinal, Utah Utes, Colorado Buffaloes, Arizona Wildcats, and Arizona State Sun Devils found new homes.

Other major conference moves included the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners moving from the Big 12 to the SEC.

CBS Sports released its power rankings for all college football conferences at the FBS level. The SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, and AAC had the top five spots in that order.

The AAC lost the SMU Mustangs to the ACC and added the Army Black Knights.

The worst conference based on their power rankings was the MAC. The conference is home to the Akron Zips, Ball State Cardinals, Bowling Green Falcons, Buffalo Bulls, Central Michigan Chippewas, Eastern Michigan Eagles, Kent State Golden Flashes, Miami (OH) Redhawks, Northern Illinois Huskies, Ohio Bobcats, Toledo Rockets, and Western Michigan Broncos.

Seven MAC teams finished below 500 last season. Buffalo (3-9), Akron (2-10), Kent State (1-11), Eastern Michigan (6-7), Western Michigan (4-8), Ball State (4-8), and Central Michigan (5-7) had losing seasons.

The only MAC teams with winning records last season were Miami (OH), Ohio, Toledo, Bowling Green, and Northern Illinois.

Outside of the MAC, the worst conferences by CBS Sports' rankings were the Moutain West at six, Sun Belt at seven, and C-USA at eight.

The C-USA added the Kennesaw State Owls this offseason. This season will be the first time that the program is at the FBS level.

It will be interesting to see how these conferences stack up once the season starts.
