The Washington Commanders are gearing up for their second preseason game of 2024, facing the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. With roster decisions looming, this matchup offers a critical opportunity for Washington to evaluate its lineup, especially on the offensive line, where health and performance remain key concerns.

Washington's offensive line faced significant challenges during their last game, with three of the team’s top tackles sidelined due to various injuries. However, the unit is expected to be at its healthiest in weeks as they take on the Dolphins. Both Cornelius Lucas and Andrew Wylie , who have been dealing with tightness, returned to the starting lineup during the joint practice with Miami, participating fully in 11-on-11 drills. This improvement in health is crucial as the Commanders seek to establish a more stable and effective front line.

The Commanders’ offensive line struggled when forced to shift Chris Paul from guard to tackle against the Jets , highlighting the need for a consistent and healthy lineup. While it's uncertain how many of the Dolphins' starters will play on Saturday, Miami's defense was among the top 10 in pass-rush win-rate last season, even without their top players. This game will serve as a crucial test for Washington's linemen as they face a formidable pass rush.

With a focus on health and effectiveness, the Commanders are looking to build momentum and clarity as they approach the regular season.
