The Boston Celtics found out their complete 2024-25 slate earlier this week and it is packed with big games.

The Celtics will have plenty of games with heavy anticipation going into them but what about the games that could fly more under the radar?

A Celtics.com article written by Marc D'Amico highlighted some hidden gems on the schedule.

What are five games that made D'Amico's list?

    Nov. 12 vs Atlanta

D'Amico's take: The very first NBA Cup game on Boston’s schedule. It comes against a three-time All-Star point guard in Trae Young, and a Hawks team that’s in pursuit of a bounce-back season. Atlanta is, as always, talented, and if we learned anything from last year’s In-Season Tournament, it’s these games are not only more intense, but you never know what might happen on any given night.

    Nov. 24 vs Minnesota

D'Amico's take: How in the world is a matchup with Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves flying under the radar?! Minnesota was a win away from being the West’s top seed last season, and it was three wins shy of being Boston’s opponent in the NBA Finals. It just ran out of gas. Minnesota is loaded with star power, and this matchup will undoubtedly be one of the most entertaining games of the season at TD Garden.

    Dec. 7 vs Memphis

D'Amico's take: Superstar guard Ja Morant is back, and so, too, will be the Memphis Grizzlies. Oh, and Marcus Smart will play his first game against the Celtics at TD Garden, so that’s kind’ve a big deal. You don’t need more than that, but there actually is more: the Celtics will be playing for the second time in as many nights, following a matchup with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks the night before. So this is shaping up to be one of Boston’s most challenging weekends of the season.

    Dec. 19 vs Chicago

D'Amico's take: Christmas comes early with what may wind up being Boston’s first home game in 12 days, as well as its last before Christmas Day. Chicago comes to town, and let’s not forget that this team has the likes of Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball, and Patrick Williams all possibly returning to the lineup from injury, to go along with Nikola Vucevic, Coby White and Josh Giddey.

    Jan. 17 vs Orlando

D'Amico's take: You get one chance – one – to see the Orlando Magic this season at TD Garden, and it arrives on a Friday night. The up-and-coming Magic finished just three games out of the No. 2 seed in the East last season. Orlando has an exceptional young roster that’s led by Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, and it added two-time champ Kentavious Caldewell-Pope this offseason. This team might be ready to make a run in the East.
