The Chicago Bears may have finally found their savior at the quarterback position.

Former No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams has taken the NFL by storm so far, completely igniting the Chicago fanbase with his preseason play and dazzling on the field. In the Bears' 27-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in a preseason game on Saturday, Williams looked great.

While his stats don't jump off the page — the former Heisman winner completed 6 of his 13 passes for 75 yards and no touchdowns — his play on the field was nothing short of captivating, highlighted by a seven-yard rushing TD.

Throughout his career, Williams has drawn comparisons to the legendary Patrick Mahomes for his playmaking ability and improvisational skills when a play breaks down. On Saturday, one of Mahomes most notable former teammates, Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill, fed into those comparisons.

Chicago fans have been waiting for a long time to have above-average quarterback play in the Windy City. The Bears are the only team in NFL history to never have a 4,000-yard passer, but there's a belief and a hope that Williams could be the man to change that.

Based on what we've seen so far, Bears fans shouldn't have to wait long before that streak is broken.
