The bats are doing exactly what is needed from them since the Atlanta Braves hit the road last week, and they have continued to surge in Anaheim.

After winning the series opener on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels, the Braves got off to a quick start in the second game of the series on Saturday.

The game got underway with a leadoff double by Michael Harris II , who returned to the team this past week. It was the tenth double of the season for Harris as he took the third pitch of the game to left field.

Austin Riley immediately followed with a single and brought up Marcell Ozuna to the plate. Ozuna continued to punish Angels pitcher Griffin Canning early with a three run homer to push the score to 3-0 with no outs recorded.

The home run marked the 36th of the season for Ozuna and his 93rd RBI on the year. He is now tied for third in MLB with Anthony Santander for most homers only trailing Aaron Judge (44) and Shohei Ohtani (38). He is also fifth in the majors with a .963 OPS.

The Braves have Chris Sale on the mound against the Angels in tonight's matchup as he is looking to strengthen his case for NL CY Young, as he is seen by most as the front runner.
