Forty-Whiners? Deebo Samuel Gives Odd Complains About Jets, Sauce Gardner

Sauce Gardner has made a name for himself in the NFL not just as one of the best cornerbacks in football for the New York Jets , but also as a gamer. The former fourth-overall pick has spent more time talking about his golf game or video games more than opposing wide receivers.

This is why when San Francisco 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel made an interesting claim on the "Up and Adams" podcast, more people were as confused as anything.

Samuel, the All-Pro receiver for San Fran talked about the 49ers' upcoming Week 1 matchup against Gardner and the Jets. The former South Carolina couldn't help himself when it came to making up a new scenario regarding Gardner.

"He's a really good corner," Samuel said of Gardner. "He talk a lot of junk so we just go out there, strap it up and get ready to go."

Now if people are confused about Samuel's comments calling Gardner a trash talker it's because the Jets star cornerback has done very little of that through his first two seasons in the NFL.

But then again, when it comes to Samuel and the 49ers, no one talks more trash while pretending they don't start any beef around the league more than them.

Whether it was publicly going on a victory tour after the Philadelphia Eagles lost Super Bowl LVII (after losing 38-7 to them two weeks earlier), and then following that up with a Super Bowl loss of their own, the 49ers have had a unique way of looking at things when it comes to the lead-up of NFL games.

Arguably the best person who has described them accurately is the Philadelphia Voice's own Jimmy Kempski. In response to their complaints about the NFC title game two years ago, the Eagles beat reporter conducted a poem of sorts to explain who the 49ers are as a franchise.

The last line might say it all:

"It's hard to believe what's become of these Niners,

You simply got beat, you loser-ass whiners."

Samuel may think he's received new motivation, but the Jets and Gardner themselves have a chance to continue to show that San Fran's way of doing things won't fly anymore.
