This offseason has largely been one of great success for new head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff in the recruiting department. However, on Sunday, Alabama got some bad news as four-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon announced that he's flipping his commitment from Alabama to Tennessee.

Harmon was big on Tennessee early in his recruiting process, but the Vols lost linebackers coach Brian Jean Mary to Michigan. New linebackers coach William Inge has been working hard to get Harmon to change his mind.

After announcing his commitment to Tennessee, Harmon posted to X that he's thankful to "the entire Alabama staff for believing in [him]."

Ranked as the 16th-best linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class by On3, Harmon would have been a strong addition to a Crimson Tide recruiting class that already includes four-stars Darrell Johnson and Dawson Merritt at the linebacker position.

The Crimson Tide still has the second-ranked recruiting class for 2025, per 247Sports . Stay tuned for more recruiting news out of Tuscaloosa as we get closer to the start of the 2024 season.
