Kate Martin's Iowa-Themed Pregame Outfit For Aces-Sparks Hits The Internet

On Sunday evening, Kate Martin and the Las Vegas Aces will look to end their two-game drought as they go up against the WNBA Western Conference's last-placed Los Angeles Sparks. The Aces are on the second part of a back-to-back, losing the first game on Saturday against the New York Liberty.

Martin, who made a name for herself playing alongside Caitlin Clark in college with Iowa Hawkeyes, has become a fan favorite in the WNBA. And those fans are constantly captivated by her pregame outfits.

With her latest attire of choice, Martin decided to represent Iowa with a grey Nike shirt that had the University's logo and the phrase "Hawkeye Nation" written on it. She also went with a pair of black Nike sweatpants.

Along with many fans, Martin did not expect to have a career in the WNBA. But then she was selected with the No. 18 pick in the second round of the 2024 WNBA draft.

Not only did she make the roster of the defending champion Aces, but she has earned a significant role off the bench for the team. In 24 games played, Martin is averaging 3.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 13.4 minutes per game.

The Aces sit at 16-9 prior to the matchup against the Sparks, which is good for second place in the West and the fourth seed in the WNBA Playoffs. Las Vegas has only 15 games remaining in the 2024 regular season and, barring catastrophe, should be heading back to the postseason.
