The Boston Red Sox (65-58) may be starting to look more to the future as their second half slump continues deep into August. After promoting the top three prospects in their farm system to the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox last weekend, they have reportedly promoted their fifth ranked prospect, per MLB Pipeline , to Triple-A on Sunday.

Chase Ford of MilB Central reports that infielder Kristian Campbell will be joining Marcelo Mayer , Roman Anthony , and Kyle Teel in Triple-A.

Campbell, 22, was drafted by the Red Sox with the 132nd pick of the 2023 MLB Draft out of Georgia Tech. He has quickly risen through the minor league system, and Triple-A will be the third level he has played in this season once he takes the field.

Through 118 career professional games, Campbell has batted .334/.444/.556 with 56 extra-base hits, 65 RBI, and 23 stolen bases.

His professional career began in Rookie-Ball, where he played in eight games and batted .391/.517/.565 with three extra-base hits, two RBI, and two stolen bases before finishing the 2023 season with the High-A Greenville Drive.

He would hit .267/.400/.422 in 14 games at High-A in 2023, before starting the 2024 season at that level and hitting .306/.418/.558 in 147 at-bats across 40 games before being promoted to the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs.

He continued to rake in Double-A, batting .362/.463/.582 with 28 extra-base hits, 35 RBI, and 17 stolen bases over 213 at-bats in 56 games before today's reported promotion.

The Red Sox are hopeful that Campbell can continue to rake down the stretch in Triple-A, and that it will carry over for him into the 2025 season.
