As fans, we can all be guilty of being homers. That’s comes with the territory and it's part of the fun.

    But ...

Former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber took that to a whole new level when discussing and comparing Daniel Jones and Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott.

On his Big Apple afternoon radio show with Evan Roberts, Barber had one of the most outlandishly homerish takes you might ever here.

"I would take Daniel Jones over Dak Prescott 100 out of 100 times," Barber said. "And I think most people would agree with me based on where these the projection of where both of these players are going."

This is, of course, outrageous on multiple levels.

In five years as the starting quarterback of the Giants, Jones has amassed a 22-36-1 record as a starter with 62 career touchdowns and 40 interceptions. Aside from the 2022 season, He’s never won more than five games in a season as a starter.

Through Prescott’s first five years, Dak amassed a record of 42-27 compiling 106 touchdowns and 40 interceptions. He was also the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2016.

Dak is clearly the more accomplished player, and Barber's nutty argument is weakened by his hyperbolic "100 out of 100'' claim and by his "most people would agree'' claim.

In reality, even the Giants themselves - who are 2-12 when going head-to-head against Prescott - would prefer Dak over Jones. Indeed, think of it this way: If Jones and Prescott were both free agents next spring, and priced at the same level ...

Which would the Cowboys wish to sign? Which would the Giants wish to sign?
