Bo Nix had the curiosity of NFL fans after his preseason debut with the Denver Broncos a week ago. Now he has their attention.

The former Oregon Ducks Heisman Trophy finalist dazzled once again on Sunday night in Denver's 27-2 preseason win over the Green Bay Packers, completing 8-of-9 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, putting points on the board in both of his drives.

After the game, head coach Sean Payton declared that he would not be naming a starting quarterback between Nix, Zach Wilson, and Jarrett Stidham at the moment, but it's pretty clear that most spectators expect the rookie to be the guy.

On Monday morning, popular sports anchor Colin Cowherd discussed Nix's performance and felt confident enough to make a definitive statement about the rookie and his future in the NFL.

"You can see when somebody's got it," Cowherd said. "Bo Nix has it."

In his two preseason games combined, Nix has completed 23-of-30 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions, with a 121.5 passer rating.

There was an expectation that, as the most experienced college quarterback in NCAA history with 61 total starts, Nix would be able to step in right away for an NFL team and make a difference. So far, that prediction seems to be coming true, with Nix displaying an understanding and comfortability in the Broncos offense that isn't often seen in rookies.

"I know it's preseason, but you can see 'lost' very quickly," Cowherd continued. "Zach Wilson is a great example — you can see very quickly that he doesn't see the field. Bo Nix sees it, and that arm strength is way better than he got credit for."

At the moment, Nix is still competing with Wilson and Stidham for the starting spot in Denver, but it would come as a surprise to very few for the team to name him the starter in the coming days and shut him down for the rest of the preseason.
