The Kansas City Chiefs have started the preseason 0-2, but again ... it’s the preseason.

Kansas City has one final exhibition game of the year before they can put the team into regular-season mode and prepare for their opening-game matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5, in prime time.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid spoked to reporters following Monday morning’s practice to give injury updates. He didn’t give specifics, but did mention that the starters, aside from receiver Marquise Brown, would be ready for Week 1.

The Chiefs host the Chicago Bears on Thursday night in their final preseason game of the year.

What are Reid's plans for the upcoming game?

"As far as the rotation goes for the Bears, I'll probably sit the starters the way it looks right now, and we'll have the other guys get out there and play," Reid said. "So, we'll just see how that goes, rep-wise."

Coach Reid was asked how he analyzes snap counts and how much players will and won’t play.

"I look at the number of plays, between camp and preseason games," Reid said. "We were up some 50 plays from the year before in camp, so I was able to monitor that and work it in with the preseason games."

After Thursday, the Chiefs will turn their attention to winning their unprecedented third straight Super Bowl championship.
