The situation began when Deion Sanders, head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, confronted CBS Colorado's Eric Christensen during Media Day. Sanders refused to engage with the network, hinting at an unresolved issue without detailing specifics. His stance was clear: he wasn't interested in interacting with CBS due to past grievances.

Despite the initial tension, Sanders later sought to mend fences, stating at an open practice in Denver that there were no lingering issues with CBS.
