NBA legend Kevin Garnett took to social media to share his thoughts on Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese after the team's recent showing against the Phoenix Mercury.

Reese and the Sky visited Phoenix on Sunday, suffering a brutal 86-68 loss to the Mercury on the road.

Despite the loss, Angel Reese was getting high praise on social media for another monster double-double. Reese ended the game with 19 points and 20 rebounds, shooting 50% from the field.

One of those individuals giving Reese her flowers was Garnett. He compared Reese to former NBA star Shawn Marion while mentioning that Reese's versatility in the scoring and rebounding categories is "legit."

"Yup… I see it," Garnett said. "Angel Reese got an elite 2nd jump on the glass like Shawn Marion.. 20 boards and damn near 20 points? Face up game looked legit last night too."

Garnett has been vocal about the WNBA landscape this season, previously commenting on Caitlin Clark's film against the Phoenix Mercury.

The Indiana Fever guard helped lead Indiana to a 98-89 victory over a stacked Mercury roster, which included Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, and Kahleah Copper.

Clark finished the game with 29 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds.

Reese and Clark are two of the biggest stars on and off the court in the WNBA despite being in their rookie season. They've helped bring millions of new eyes to women's basketball, and NBA stars like Garnett seem to be enjoying the league's growth.

Both first-year pros are currently competing for the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award. Caitlin Clark is averaging 17.8 points and 8.3 assists per game, while Angel Reese is posting 13.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game.
