Will Josh Allen Play in Bills' Preseason Finale?

Fans that have been anticipating seeing star quarterback Josh Allen and the rest of the Buffalo Bills starters retake the field will have to wait a few weeks longer, it seems.

Coach Sean McDermott has announced that Allen and the rest of the starting group will not play in the team's preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers. While McDermott did confirm that the plan was originally to have the starters play, the recent injuries that the team has suffered made him and the rest of the coaching staff reconsider.

Prior to the announcement about the team's starters, the Bills revealed that multiple impact players, including backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, safety Damar Hamlin, and receivers Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, will miss multiple weeks with injuries. McDermott refused to confirm if any injured players will miss the start of the regular season.

Now, with Allen sitting out and Trubisky injured, recent signee Ben DiNucci is in line to start the game at quarterback for Buffalo. However, expect the team to sign another quarterback to the roster prior to the game, as the team doesn't currently have another player to bring in if DiNucci were to sustain an injury.

Allen and the rest of the Bills starters will now look to prepare for their regular-season opener, which will be played at home on Sept. 8 against the Arizona Cardinals. Meanwhile, fans can watch some of the team's reserves fight for roster spots in the Bills' preseason finale against the Panthers on Saturday.
