The Texas A&M Aggies had a young star named to On3's Freshman All-American team in the prize of their 2024 recruiting class .

Terry Bussey , the two-way superstar from Timpson who was named Mr. Football in the state of Texas two years ago, was listed on the team as an 'Athlete' rather than giving him a position.

It's a fitting positional assignment considering the fact that Bussey is likely going to play in all three phases including special teams, an exciting fact that has been echoed by the coaching staff since his arrival and confirmed throughout fall camp.

"Terry Bussey was one of the top overall football players in the 2024 cycle and could have the rare distinction as one who see snaps on both sides of the ball as a true freshman," Charles Power of On3 wrote . "He was a standout quarterback and defensive back at Timpson High School and has the ability to play multiple positions on either side of the ball given A&M’s depth at running back. There’s a possibility to get touches in the backfield as a true freshman while also as a nickel corner type on defense. Terry Bussey is an elite athlete who can really run, has very good ball skills as a defensive back and just overall playmaking ability. We could see a rare scenario of him getting snaps on both sides of the ball as a true freshman and as one who was younger for the class and given his late birthday, he really could be a 2025 prospect."

Bussey will make an impact whichever side of the ball he plays on. Seeing where that ends up being will be one of the most exciting part of the 2024 season.
