Eagles NFC East News: CeeDee Lamb Puts Cryptic Instagram Post Up

The Philadelphia Eagles may have to wait a little bit longer to see how CeeDee Lamb looks in the Dallas Cowboys offense for the 2024 season.

Lamb, a 2024 All-Pro wideout who led the league in receptions, has remained away from the Cowboys during training camp as he looks to become the highest-paid receiver on a new contract.

His latest public post regarding the situation may not create much confidence for Dallas.

The former first-round pick posted an Instagram story of a video of Tobey McGuire as Spiderman in Spiderman 3 when the titular character was dressed up as Venom - a central part in the plot of the final movie.

Why the cryptic post from Lamb? It could mean several things including his push to focus on himself more and the collective team around him.

It, of course, could also just mean that he really likes Spiderman 3 - however unlikely that is. The issue is regardless of what he posts, it's unlikely to change the current stream of silent negotiating done by the Cowboys.

Lamb is not the first or the last player on the Cowboys to have the team play hardball on the contract demands of their top players. As the organization and their top receiver continue their dance, though, it's clear this situation may be getting a lot uglier in the coming days.

And that's great news for the Eagles.
