An injury to an All-Pro linebacker and offseason departures of other top veterans would normally sink any organization in ESPN's latest Power Rankings.

    Not the Buffalo Bills, though.

ESPN ranked Buffalo as the seventh-best team in the league with particular insight on the team having a top quarterback in Josh Allen on the roster.

As part of the article, though, head coach Sean McDermott was seen as someone on the hot seat entering the new year due to Buffalo's continued playoff failings over the last four seasons.

"On top of that, injuries are already in the mix on defense, notably with linebacker Matt Milano, but the coach has found success despite injuries in the past," Alaina Getzenberg wrote. "The balance for the Bills of having success while also building for future years with Allen and guiding a changed roster is a unique challenge.”

Buffalo has made sweeping changes to their defense and offense as a whole during the offseason to become cap-compliant.

Without Stefon Diggs, Tre'Davious White, and Jordan Poyer, the Bills are a team that has gotten younger in a hurry, but still hopes to be able to remain competitive for a Lombardi Trophy.

Despite the many changes, ESPN still thinks this Bills roster is good enough to get back into the playoffs once again.
