Who Is Chiefs' RB2 Behind Isiah Pacheco?

The Kansas City Chiefs have a really solid RB1 in Isiah Pacheco, as he has continued to get better with every appearance. But the team may have some kinks to work out behind him.

While a team can lean on their starting running back to shoulder a majority of the load in the run-game, there need to be guys backing him up that can take some of the pressure off.

For the last several years, that guy has been veteran Jerick McKinnon, as he has provided a reliable presence in the passing game for Patrick Mahomes, But, the 32-year-old still remains a free agent, as the Chiefs have not made any moves to re-sign him.

As for Clyde Edwards-Helaire, it is sadly looking more and more like he is going to end up being a saddled with his health issues, as the team selected him with the 32nd pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

He can provide RB3 dependability, but at the moment, that is all the team can ask from him. ... as he hopefully works through his problems.

One possibility to step up as the RB2 is Deneric Prince. He was signed to the team's practice squad last August, and he proved himself enough to make the team's roster in February. His 6-0, 220-pound frame combined with his 40-yard dash time of 4.41 could make him an intriguing option if he can remain consistent.

If the Chiefs can find someone to step up behind Pacheco, that could help them tremendously in their effort to win their third straight Super Bowl.
