Karl Anthony-Towns Reacts To Anthony Edwards Beef Rumors

After a successful stint with Team USA in the Paris Olympics, Anthony Edwards returns to the Minnesota Timberwolves with an Olympic gold medal in tow.

Karl-Anthony Towns, the man who was heralded as Minnesota's cornerstone superstar before Edwards' arrival in 2020, could not be happier for his teammate. This is despite the beef narrative surrounding these two alphas.

In a recent appearance on Paul George's podcast, Towns clapped back at how the media supposedly portrays a negative relationship between himself and Edwards. According to KAT, he's actually Edwards' biggest fan.

"I feel it’s weird the media try to make it seem like I don’t want Ant to succeed," Towns said. "I’m the biggest Ant cheerleader I can be. Biggest fan. I want to see him win. I want to see him grow to be the face of the NBA. I want to see him do things that have never been done in the NBA. I want to see that.

"We just want to see each other win, like big bro-lil' bro. I want to see him win more than even me.”

At this point, it's hard to deny that the baton has been passed over to Edwards in terms of being the Wolves' main man. Based on his comments here, however, it is clear that Towns has no problem with this whatsoever. As he said, the most important thing is that they win.

Last season, Minnesota's campaign ended after losing to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals. This was the first time they reached the West Finals since 2004, but you just know that this incredible achievement is not enough for this squad.

Edwards, Towns, and the rest of the Timberwolves will now be looking to take it a step further -- or two steps, rather -- this coming season.
