French basketball star Guerschon Yabusele did enough during the 2024 Paris Olympics to earn himself an NBA contract.

Yabusele agreed to a one-year, $2.1 million minimum deal with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, marking his fist return to the NBA since his departure from the Boston Celtics in 2019.

Yabusele, 28, averaged 14.0 points per game on 51.9% shooting from the field during France's Olympic campaign. His impressive Olympic play was punctuated by a thunderous dunk over Team USA superstar LeBron James in the gold medal game.

Yabusele first entered the NBA as a first-round pick for the Celtics in 2016. He played sparingly in his time with Boston, averaging 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. He was waived in the summer of 2019.

Between his stint with the Celitcs and his new contract with the Sixers, Yabusele played in China, France and Spain. He most recently suited up for Real Madrid.

Yabusele will look to carve out a role in Nick Nurse's rotation this coming NBA season.
