Former ESPN analyst and NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III recently shared his thoughts on Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

Clark and the Fever are fresh off a 92-75 victory over the Seattle Storm on Aug. 18.

During the matchup against the Storm, Clark secured WNBA history after passing league legend Ticha Penicheiro for the most assists by a rookie in a single season.

Penicheiro previously held the record with 224 assists in 1998, and Clark passed that feat with her second assist of the game in the second quarter.

As Griffin explained, she now holds the record with 232 total assists while still having 12 games left to extend the record.

Reese, on the other hand, secured her own historic feat against the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.

The Sky forward notched 19 points and 20 rebounds. The massive double-double for the rookie made her the fastest player ever to record 20 double-doubles in a single season, achieving the feat in the 27th game of her rookie year.

Griffin views Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark as the future of the WNBA and mentioned that the 22-year-olds are playing well above their experience level.

"Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese aren’t playing like rookies," Griffin said. "They are TAKING THE WNBA BY STORM in their own way... The WNBA is in good hands for the foreseeable future."

In the Fever's victory over the Storm, Clark finished the game with 23 points, nine assists, and five rebounds.

The rookie has led the Fever to back-to-back wins against two teams above .500, the Storm and Phoenix Mercury.

She's been a generational talent in her rookie season, currently competing against Angel Reese for the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award.

Caitlin Clark is currently averaging 17.8 points and 8.3 assists per game, while Reese has posted 13.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game.

Clark has also put the Fever in a position to make the WNBA playoffs, a feat Indiana hasn't been able to accomplish since 2016.

The Fever currently stands as the No. 7 seed in the WNBA rankings with a 13-15 record.

Reese has also been able to put the Sky in a favorable spot for the WNBA postseason, with Chicago standing as the No. 8 seed in the WNBA rankings with an 11-16 record.

Both players were recently named to the WNBA All-Star game roster, where the two flourished, helping Team WNBA secure a 117-109 victory over Team USA. Clark finished that showing with four points and 10 assists, while Reese produced 12 points and 11 rebounds.

As Griffin mentioned, they haven't been playing like rookies. Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are two of the biggest stars in the WNBA, and it seems their reign has just begun.
