Fans Roast Ben Simmons Amid Viral Workout Photo With Former Teammate

There used to be a time when Ben Simmons was regarded as one of the future faces of the NBA. No one’s believing in that notion anymore, with Simmons’ career taking a plunge, mainly due to injuries. However, there is still hope that the Brooklyn Nets guard-forward hybrid will turn things around and produce like a star again.

Simmons appeared to show his determination to have a great 2024-25 NBA season when he was seen working out with former Philadelphia 76ers teammate Matisse Thybulle. Simmons and Thybulle played multiple seasons together with the 76ers before their respective careers took different paths.

Many fans on social media, however, chose to mock Simmons (with Thybulle catching strays, too) instead of giving him props for staying busy in the offseason. A lot of the comments seem to target the known poor shooting efficiencies of Simmons and Thybulle.

Simmons is entering a contract year, so he has all the motivation he needs to recapture the elite form he had during his early seasons with the 76ers.

In the 2023-24 NBA season, the former Rookie of the Year averaged 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists through 15 games.
