Who Can Beat the Chiefs? Tom Brady's Top 3 Threats

    By Mike Fisher,

We're not especially interested in getting into a football debate with legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, and our reasoning is simple.

If we engaged in a football debate with Tom Brady, he'd slaughter us.

But he's issued a Kansas City Chiefs-related proclamation that merits some study.

Brady recently attended Fanatics Fest, and found himself interviewed by Stephen A. Smith (who we would be very comfortable debating about the NFL, by the way) and the subject was broached ...

Who's the biggest threat to the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Chiefs in 2024.

    Brady listed three threats.

"I think it's probably still the 49ers, and the Packers, I think, are going to be a great team," Brady said. "And you know what, the Rams are going to be a good team this year, too."

    Whoa.

The San Francisco 49ers? That's a sensible pick. We can go "recency bias'' here - they reached the Super Bowl last season and gave the Chiefs a challenge before the KC win.

But ... The Packers and the Rams are ready for that level of leap?

Both of those teams did make the postseason in 2023. Are they improved enough now to move up to "true contenders'' in 2024?

This much is certain: If Brady is right? All three of those teams are NFC clubs ... Which suggests that the Chiefs are clearly the best team in AFC. And maybe there isn't much debate about that.
