After showing out at the Paris Olympics , French star Gabby Williams has agreed to a deal with the Seattle Storm . A massive addition to one of the best teams in the WNBA .

Williams was inches away from sending France to overtime in the gold medal match against the United States during the Olympics, and many wondered why Williams wasn't on a WNBA roster after she set the world ablaze.

Williams led France to a silver medal, averaging 15.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 2.8 steals per game throughout her Olympic campaign.

The thing is, Williams has played in the WNBA before. From 2018-2023 in fact. She elected to remain out of the WNBA in 2024 because of the strict prioritization rules in place on what players are allowed to do in the off-season and overseas.

She decided to remain out for the first half of the 2024 WNBA season, and remain with the France national team in preparation for the Olympics.

From 2018-2020, Williams played for the Chicago Sky , and then left in 2021 over the same issues. She later returned to the WNBA in 2022 and 2023, where she was a key rotational player on the Storm. Now, she returns once again and signs back with Seattle, who are in the middle of a playoff push
