Ja'Marr Chase Receives Time-Sensitive Offer From Fan Amid Contract Rumors

A Cincinnati Bengals superfan has made an unexpected offer in hopes of convincing star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase to sign his contract extension with the team.

The fan, known as "Bengalorian" on X, has promised to give up his 2012 Buick LaCrosse if Chase and the Bengals can finalize their contract negotiations by the end of Tuesday.

“Ja'Marr, my offer still stands,” he said. “Sign that contract and this is all yours, baby. 2012 Buick LaCrosse, fine machine.”

Currently, Chase is involved in a “hold-in” during the Bengals' preseason, where he attends practices but does not fully participate as he pushes for a new contract.

He has made it clear that he wants a new deal and is poised to become one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.

This offseason, other notable wide receivers have secured substantial contracts, including A.J. Brown (three years, $96 million with the Eagles), Amon-Ra St. Brown (four years, $120 million with the Lions), and Justin Jefferson (four years, $140 million with the Vikings).

This bodes well for Chase, who has statistically been one of the best wide receivers since getting drafted by the Bengals back in 2021.

Chase’s current deal runs through 2026, but with the Bengals yet to make significant moves toward an extension, tension has been building.

As the Bengals prepare for their season opener against the New England Patriots, addressing Chase’s contract demands will be crucial to keeping their star wideout content and ensuring long-term stability for their offense alongside quarterback Joe Burrow.
