Eagles Pass Rush Might Be Fine After All

Early on in training camp, the Philadelphia Eagles didn't get much of a pass rush from their new-look defensive line.

The concern that brought fans and analysts covering the team was palpable. After all, the Eagles traded away the lone player to record over 10 sacks last season in Haason Reddick.

Just a couple of weeks later, though, Philadelphia's edge-rushing struggles appear to be coming to a close. After weeks of relative silence, the Eagles defensive line has gotten consistent pressure on Jalen Hurts and the first-team offense.

Whether from Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Bryce Huff, or Jalyx Hunt, Philadelphia's defensive line has begun to show why the Eagles were confident in their switch to a youth movement of sorts on defense.

Now the concern has shifted to the offensive line.

In a new defensive scheme by Vic Fangio, there was always going to be needed time to grow and adjust to the tendencies and expectations that the older defensive mastermind had.

The adjustments have since been made and Philadelphia's defense looks lethal - at least to their top offense in practice.

There's still a long way to go overall, but the Eagles should be pleased with the turnaround from their defensive line. And it could set themselves up nicely for the upcoming year ahead.
