Peggy Coppom, a 99-year-old superfan of the Colorado Buffaloes, has made history as the first fan to receive a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal. Blenders Eyewear, with the enthusiastic support of Coach Deion Sanders, has introduced a sunglasses sleeve in her honor, celebrating her decades of unwavering support for Colorado athletics. This unique collaboration highlights Miss Peggy's long-standing dedication to the Buffs. "For over 80 years, Miss Peggy’s unwavering support has embodied true fandom," Blenders wrote in a statement. "In a historic first, Miss Peggy is the first fan to receive a NIL deal, with $1 from each sleeve sold going to her—a small gesture for her lifetime of dedication. Miss Peggy’s legacy inspires not just players but entire generations."

Miss Peggy’s connection to the team is more than just passionate fandom; it’s a legacy that spans over 80 years. From her early days in Boulder, after her family relocated from eastern Colorado in 1939, she has rarely missed a game since becoming a season ticket holder in 1966. Her steadfast presence at games, even at her advanced age, has made her a beloved figure among players, coaches, and fans alike.

This historic NIL deal is a testament to Miss Peggy's enduring influence. Sanders, who has developed a close bond with her, has pledged to lead the Buffaloes to a bowl game with Peggy by his side.
