NBA Dunk Legend Nate Robinson Sent Strong Gabby Williams Message To Seattle Storm

After the Seattle Storm signed Olympic sensation Gabby Williams for the rest of the 2024 season, former NBA guard Nate Robinson had some strong advice for the team.
Robinson wants to see Williams thrive in the WNBA, and for her to do that, the Storm need to play her. The 5-foot-11 forward has already proven during the 2024 Olympics that she can score at a high level, and so all Seattle needs to do is give her an opportunity to do what she does best.
"Y’all better keep her and put her in the rotation let her get buckets," Robinson commented on the Storm's Instagram announcement of the signing.
Nate Robinson's message certainly has its merits. After all, Gabby Williams didn't get a lot of opportunity with the Chicago Sky, the team that drafted her fourth overall in 2018.
After playing in 34 games and starting in 30 during her rookie year, she made only six starts in 55 total games played the next two seasons. The Sky eventually traded Williams to the Los Angeles Sparks in 2021 after she was suspended by the franchise for prioritizing the French national team.
However, Williams definitely showed the WNBA that she can go toe-to-toe against its best players. She led France to the final of the 2024 Olympics women's basketball tournament, barely losing to Team USA, 67-66.
Williams tallied 19 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three steals in the gold medal game to make life hard for the Americans. Overall, the 27-year-old vet averaged 15.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.8 steals over six games, earning her a spot on the All-Star Five, or the five best female players of the 2024 Olympics.
For what it's worth, though, Robinson shouldn't be too concerned about how the Storm plan to use Williams. After all, she played for the team in 2022 and 2023, during which she had a prominent role.
Williams was a key starter for the Storm during her two-year stint, putting up 7.7 points , 4.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 26.2 minutes per game.
