Browns Ex Belichick Claims Steelers Have a 'Bigger' Problem than QB

Do the Pittsburgh Steelers have a "bigger" problem than who will be their starting quarterback for their Week 1 game versus the Atlanta Falcons?

After their first two preseason games, where they've posted just 15 points in eight quarters of football, many would say their offense is a reason for concern, especially because it was the glaring issue last season.

While many will point to Justin Fields' or Russell Wilson's play as the issue, former Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator and legendary New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick sees another issue in Pittsburgh.

“I think they have bigger problems than the quarterback position. The offensive line has had a hard time at being consistent there," Belichick continued. "They lost [Troy Fautanu] so they got [Broderick] Jones over there playing right tackle… they have a rookie center [too]."

The issues upfront were evident in the Steelers' 9-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills, particularly on the right side, where second-year offensive tackle Broderick Jones struggled. The former first-round pick surrendered two sacks and three pressures in the loss, which earned him a 40.8 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus .

Jones's struggles are rightfully concerning for Steeers' fans and a reason for salivation for Browns' fans. He is expected to improve much following a rookie year that didn't meet expectations.

From the Browns' perspective, hearing the potential concern about the Steelers' offensive line is an exciting prospect. No matter the potential improvements made at quarterback, whether it be Wilson or Fields, if the offensive line can't protect them, then Pittsburgh will have a hard time winning football games.
