Ohio State Legend Sends Strong Message To Ryan Day About 2024 College Football Season

The Michigan Wolverines won the national championship last season over the Washington Huskies for their 10th national title. Michigan also beat the Ohio State Buckeyes for the third straight year in 2023.
Former Ohio State players and fans alike are becoming fed up after the recent losses to Michigan. Former Ohio State running back Beanie Wells voiced his concerns with Ryan Day in a recent appearance on CBS Sports. Wells played for the Buckeyes from 2006-08.
Wells was more concerned about how Ohio State lost to Michigan recently. Wells talked about how Michigan has been more physical than Ohio State in recent matchups. The Wolverines have outrushed Ohio State in three consecutive games.
The former Ohio State star challenged Ryan Day and the program to improve.
“When you look at the fact that they’ve lost three years in a row — not just losing those games,” Wells said. “It’s the way they lost those. Michigan out physicaled Ohio State. And for so many years, Ohio State prided themselves on being a physical, dominant football team. Now, when you get into a dogfight in a phone booth, it’s not happening. We didn’t see that from this Ryan Day football team. So, they certainly have to be better.”
After losing to Michigan last season, Ohio State missed the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes then lost again to the Missouri Tigers in the Cotton Bowl.
Ohio State's high-powered offense is in place for this year's game. The Buckeyes added former Kansas State Wildcats quarterback Will Howard and former Ole Miss Rebels running back Quinshon Judkins from the portal.
The team also returns wideouts Emeka Ebguka, Carnell Tate and Brandon Inniss. Ohio State added former five-star receiver Jeremiah Smith and former four-star Mylan Graham .
It will be interesting to see if Ohio State can break its losing streak to Michigan this season. "The Game" kicks off on Nov. 30 at Noon ET on FOX.
