Green Bay Packers sixth-year head coach Matt LaFleur usually isn't afraid to banter with reporters during his press conferences.

On Tuesday, August 20, longtime Packers beat reporter Jason Wilde was on the wrong end of a funny call-out after arriving late to the proceedings.

"How many times you going to come to my press conference late?" LaFleur jokingly asked with a deadpan stare in the middle of another reporter's question. "We've got a rule in a team meeting: You don't interrupt the meeting. Now sit your butt outside. Just kidding."

"I tried to do my best to play that off, but it probably wasn't very good," LaFleur added through a cheeky smirk.

Later in the day, Wilde reposted the video on X with an apologetic caption, "So … how’s your day going? 😬 Sorry, @CoachMLaFleur … ⏰

The 44-year-old LaFleur enters the 2024 season coming off of an NFC Divisional Game loss to the eventual Super Bowl runner-up San Francisco 49ers.

He'll look to improve upon his 56-27 overall record in Green Bay as the Packers seek to win the competitive NFC North division for the first time since 2021.
