USA sprinter Quincy Wilson made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

At just 16 years of age, Wilson became the youngest American male track and field athlete in Olympic history. The star out of Bullis School in Maryland made his debut in the men's 4x400 meter qualifiers, where four runners sprint 400 meters each, passing the baton to the teammate in front of them after their leg.

But Wilson hasn't seen his last Olympic action just yet.

In a recent interview with NBC4 Washington , Wilson, along with his coach Joe Lee, revealed that he plans on participating in many more future Olympic games.

"How many more Olympics do you plan to be a part of?" NBC's Shawn Yancy asked.

"Hopefully, I'll be able to go five Olympics in total," Wilson replied as he looked at his coach, who held up five fingers.

If Wilson were to complete his goal of five total Olympics, he would be competing in 2040 at the age of 32. For comparison, Jamaica's Usain Bolt was 30 years old in his final Olympic appearance in Rio 2016. He would also have to compete in Los Angeles 2028, Brisbane 2032, and 2036 (unknown location).

Wilson's Olympic debut was underwhelming, finishing his leadoff leg in the qualifying race in just 47.27 seconds, well short of his personal best 400-meter time of 44.20 seconds. This put the USA in seventh place. His teammates Vernon Norwood, Bryce Deadmon and Christopher Bailey had to make up for the lost ground, finishing in the third and final qualifying spot.

Wilson did not compete in the final but did secure a gold medal for performing in the previous round. Rai Benjamin replaced him in the gold medal race.
