    Eagles Former Safety Teases Reunion

    By Nick Faria,

In his heyday, Jalen Mills was seen as a quality starting cornerback who helped the Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LII.

His coverage of the likes of Julio Jones and Stefon Diggs got the team to the big dance, even if his move to safety in 2020 didn't work out as well as many had hoped.

Now, after the Green Goblin has bounced around from the New England Patriots to the New York Giants, the former LSU star is looking at a reunion of sorts.

    In Philadelphia.

Mills posted a social media photo of a framed jersey of his in midnight green that he earned while being a five-year starter on a secondary that improved year-in and year-out under Jim Schwartz.

At 30 years old now, Mills' career might not be the kind of fit he is hoping for in Philadelphia.

For starters, while he was a solid starter at times in New England, being released by the Giants before training camp ended due to an injury is a sign that Mills' career may be over.

It also doesn't help that the Eagles have signed C.J. Gardner-Johnson at safety, and drafted two corners with their first two picks in the 2024 draft to fix their own defensive backfield.

In short, Mills may want a reunion, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen.
