The Cleveland Browns wideout room is fairly crowded this offseason, and there was bound to be a roster casualty or two.

One of those was Matt Landers, who was waived by the Browns on Monday. But the good news (at least for Landers) is that he wasn't without a home very long. On Tuesday, he was picked up by the New England Patriots.

Landers went undrafted out of Arkansas in 2023 but also played for Toldeo and Georgia. the St. Petersburg, Florida, native was first picked up by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and also appeared in camp that same season with the Carolina Panthers.

After not making the final round of cuts in Carolina, Landers went to UFL camp with the Arlington Renegades before making the San Antonio Brahmas roster for the season.

After the UFL season ended, the 25-year-old was invited to Browns camp this offseason, where he spent all summer until being cut on Monday.

He'll now try to make the final 53 for the Patriots and earn a contract for the regular season. His chances will be limited with just one preseason game remaining.

The Browns will continue the preseason with Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy as starters, and Elijah Moore, Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash, James Proche and Ahmarean Brown.
