NBA 2K25 Reveals Draymond Green Rating

    By Lance Roberson,

The last NBA season featured multiple head-shaking incidents, one of which included Draymond Green's physical attacks on Minnesota Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert and Phoenix Suns' Jusuf Nurkic. Due to the suspensions that the NBA administered to the problematic Golden State Warriors forward, Green played only 54 games for the 2023-24 season.

While Green's down season ultimately cost the Warriors a playoff spot, at least NBA 2K players can change history in the many modes of NBA 2K25. Regarding NBA 2K25, the player rating team found a way to compensate for Green's chunk of missed games with a positive grade. Green's overall rating in NBA 2K25 is 83.

Smartly, the NBA 2K rating team kept Green's rating the same as NBA 2K24. As mentioned earlier, Green's season was dominated by suspension and overall distractions from the on-court product.

However, the Warriors' defense looked stout when Green played, and the Stephen Curry-led roster had a 33-22 record.

NBA 2K25 granted Green, Chicago Bulls' Zach LaVine, Portland Trail Blazers' DeAndre Ayton, Denver Nuggets' Michael Porter Jr., Miami Heat Tyler Herro, Washington Wizards' Kyle Kuzma, and Memphis Grizzlies' Desmond Bane with the 83 overall rating.

The Warriors' best defensive player is also a significant cog in their offense, as dribble hand-off actions and screens involving Curry create an efficient offense. Ultimately, Golden State's offense can't function without Green on the current roster.

Although Green didn't deserve a raise in rating as he did nothing special last season, decreasing his overall grade wouldn't coincide with Green's production.
