USA gymnast Simone Biles and swimmer Katie Ledecky have set the standard for athletes at the Olympics.

During the 2024 Paris Games, both stars combined for a total medal count of eight, with each bringing home four apiece. Biles won three gold and a silver, while Ledecky secured two gold, a silver and a bronze.

With their success over the last decade, both Olympians have partnered with Athleta as part of their "Power of She" collective, which brings together and uplifts trailblazing female athletes.

Along with the organization, Biles teamed up with Ledecky after the Olympics to send a strong message on Instagram about the standard they have set at the worldwide event. She used a photo of the two in front of the Eiffel Tower.

"Power of she = the new gold standard," Biles captioned the post with two sparkle emojis surrounding the word "gold."

Fans loved Biles and Ledecky's team-up and took to the comments to leave their thoughts.

"Two of the greatest female athletes in the history of sports, not just american sports," one fan wrote.

"GAME CHANGERS!," wrote another with three fire emojis.

"Powerful and inspiring," commented a third.

“Two powerful women redefining greatness! Keep inspiring us with your strength and resilience," said one more.

Biles and Ledecky are two of the three most winningest female Olympians in USA history. Ledecky sits atop the list, winning nine gold medals and 14 total through London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.

The 27-year-old from Washington, D.C., also has the second-highest Olympic medal count for the USA, behind another swimming legend, Michael Phelps. Ledecky's top race is the women's 800-meter freestyle, where she has won four straight at the Olympics. Her first win came when she was only 15.

Biles has a collection of seven Olympic gold medals and 11 total, making her the USA's most accomplished gymnast ever. Her seven golds match former USA runner Allyson Felix for the second-most by a woman, right behind Ledecky.

Her first Olympic appearance came in 2016, where she won five medals. In 2020, she won silver before withdrawing due to the "twisties," which is where a gymnast loses their sense of balance and direction in midair. She bounced back in a big way in France this year.
