Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes responded on social media Wednesday to U.S. flag football player Darrell Doucette's bold comments.

Doucette, who spoke with TMZ earlier in the day, claimed that NFL players shouldn’t automatically make the U.S. flag football team for the 2028 Olympics and should go through the same tryout process as other players.

Doucette also claimed he was better than Mahomes.

“At the end of the day, I feel like I'm better than Patrick Mahomes because of my IQ of the game,” Doucette said.

In response, Mahomes shared a viral GIF of rapper 50 Cent mouthing, “What he say f*** me for?”

Doucette emphasized his point by stating, “I love the fact that NFL players want to play and that they want to come out and compete, but at the end of the day, we want the same process. We have to try out, and so do they.”

“I don’t want it to be like, they’re entitled because of their names to be able to just automatically be on the team, and that’s what it sounds like from the flag football world,” he added.

Mahomes, along with stars like Jalen Hurts, has expressed interest in playing for Team USA in flag football at the Olympics.

Doucette, a veteran of Team USA’s flag football squad since 2020, might be an exceptional flag football quarterback, but challenging Mahomes, who has set numerous NFL records and won three Super Bowls, is a bold move.
