It was a long month away from the WNBA during the Olympic break, but Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are back and peaking at the right time.

Since the arrival of Clark in the 2024 WNBA draft back in April, the Fever has been breaking viewership and sales records left and right. During their most recent game against the Seattle Storm, Indiana made history once again.

ESPN reported that the Fever vs. Storm is the most-watched game ever on ABC. It averaged 2.2 million viewers and peaked at 2.9 million. This game also marked a 256% viewership increase compared to the 2023 regular season average on ABC.

The Fever beat the Storm in dominating fashion, 92-75. They also avoided being swept by Seattle, losing their first three matchups of the season.

Clark finished the game with 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star also broke the record for the most assists by a rookie in WNBA history, adding to her prolific resume, which includes a WNBA All-Star appearance and the first-ever rookie triple-double.

The Fever will be back in action on Saturday, August 24, against the Minnesota Lynx. Indiana got the best of Minnesota in their first meeting back in July, winning by a final score of 81-74. They will face each other two more times this season.
