New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner made headlines with his questionable remarks about Giants quarterback Daniel Jones following the two team’s joint practice on Wednesday.

When asked by beat reporters about his thoughts on Jones following the practice, Gardner struggled to find the right words, attempting to be polite but coming off as awkward.

“Uh, he's a good quarterback,” Gardner said, stuttering and smirking.

He briefly mentioned almost intercepting Jones before the conversation grew more uncomfortable.

“The competitive periods are very competitive,” Gardner continued after another long pause. “I had fun out there today, you know. I really don’t know what to say.”

Fans have had mixed reactions, with some finding the situation amusing or odd.

“He looks like he’s trying to be polite but doesn’t have anything good to say,” one fan noted.

    “Buddy was speechless,” another added.

Whether Gardner’s comments reflect his true feelings or were a respectful nod to Jones, who is a seasoned NFL veteran, remains to be seen.
