Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes' Daughter Starts New Sport Inspired by Olympics

Before the Kansas City Chiefs drafted quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he was a multi-sport athlete. While his love for basketball is well known, Mahomes split his time at Texas Tech between the school's football and baseball team.

His wife, Brittany Mahomes, joined University of Texas at Tyler's soccer team before playing professionally with UMF Afturelding in Iceland between 2016 and 2017. As for the couple's two children, Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 20 months, it would surprise no one if they turned out to be naturally gifted athletes.

Brittany, who's pregnant with baby No. 3, previously posted videos and photos of Sterling playing golf, soccer, and basketball with her little brother. However, after watching the 2024 Paris Olympics, Sterling is ready to try an all-new sport.

Brittany shared a photo of their eldest child on her Instagram Stories and wrote, "First day of gymnastics 😍. In her U.S.A. leotard 🔥."

It seems Sterling was inspired after watching Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Suni Lee, and Hezly Rivera bring home the gold medal for Team USA in Paris. Her red leotard is the sleeveless version of the one Biles wore for the individual Vault Final. Lee wore the same red leotard for the individual Uneven Bars Final.

For those wondering if the Mahomes are planning to have an entire football team of children, the three-time Super Bowl MVP shut that idea down real quick.

"I’m done,” Patrick told reporters before training camp started last month. “I'll say that. I said three and I'm done.”  However, the 28-year-old is pumped for the new addition.

"It's awesome," Mahomes said of being a dad. "I always wanted to have kids young."

"We're having our third kid now to join our family," he continued. "And Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things."
