New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner mentioned that there is a rookie wide receiver whose playing style resembles NFL All-Pros Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. This is high praise for a player who has yet to play in an NFL regular season game.

After Wednesday's joint practice between the New York Jets and the New York Giants, Gardner was asked about his impressions after facing off against Giants rookie receiver Malik Nabers.

Chase and Jefferson both went to LSU and have become two of the best receivers in today's NFL. Coincidentally, Malik Nabers, who also attended LSU, shares similar attributes.

"He nice...," Gardner said. "He very sudden when it comes to getting in and out of his breaks. I know this might sound kind of weird, but probably won't. He remind me of like an LSU receiver. Like kind of little Ja'Marr Chase, little bit. Little Justin Jefferson, little subtle... He gonna be a pretty good player."

Malik Nabers was drafted sixth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. He played three seasons for the Tigers and his contributions increased each year.

As a junior, he had a breakout season, catching 86 passes for 1,546 yards and 14 touchdowns.

This exceptional performance placed him in the running for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given annually to the best college football receiver. Unfortunately, he fell short by one vote and did not win, falling behind Marvin Harrison Jr.

While Nabers is already receiving such high praise from other NFL players, it'll be interesting to see what he can do in Year 1.
