Minnesota Twins broadcast team mistakes man for Blink-182's Tom DeLonge

The Minnesota Twins' broadcast affiliate Bally Sports North team led by Cory Provus messed up identifying a random man in the crowd as Blink-182 co-founder Tom DeLonge Monday night.

Provus wasn't wrong in identifying that DeLonge was at the game, as the real DeLonge was actually a few rows behind the man shown on television during the first of three games against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.

But it was the other members of the broadcast team that ultimately goofed, as cameras turned to the man pictured with a text box stating: Tom DeLonge, Blink-182".

The Twins' play-by-play man later stated on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the crew picked up "the wrong guy with the wrong blue hat behind the plate."

"Yep, thought this would pop up today. Little background. Huge Blink & AVA fan and clearly recognized Tom in my monitor last night. Well, our crew picked the wrong guy with the wrong blue hat behind the plate. Anyway, glad you're feeling better dude," Provus said, tagging DeLonge and the band.

The internet surely got a kick out of the mishap.

DeLonge also poked fun at the mistake on his Instagram page.
