Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has been under the public microscope for much of the past week following ESPN's decision to fire the football analyst.

Griffin was fired from the network on Aug. 15 and has since received a couple of kind notes from his former colleagues.

Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders may not have been in the booth with Griffin, but he took to social media to share his thoughts on the situation.

Sanders explained that he believes in Griffin and sides with what he stands for.

"Love ya my brother!" Sanders said. "I believe in you and what u stand for and tell the girls Uncle Prime said Hi."

Griffin joined the ESPN staff in 2021. He covered college football and the NFL shortly after his career in the league.

The talented quarterback was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in 2012 and would go on to play for the Washington Commanders, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens.

His time in the league came after winning a Heisman trophy with the Baylor Bears in the 2011 college football season. Griffin produced 37 touchdowns on 4,293 passing yards and 291 completions during his legendary 2011 run.

Sanders' focus will soon shift toward the football field, with the Colorado Buaffoles set to play the North Dakota State Bison in Week 1 on Aug. 29.

He'll be heading into his second year as the head coach of the Buffaloes, looking to improve off a 4-8 record from the 2023 season.
