Kelsey Plum Left Nearly Speechless By Lynx Player Who 'Cooked' Her In Aces Loss

Kelsey Plum and the Las Vegas Aces had no answer to the offensive onslaught of the Minnesota Lynx Wednesday night. Plum acknowledged Minnesota’s incredible attack, particularly that of Lynx guard Courtney Williams.

After the Aces’ 98-87 loss to Minnesota, Plum admitted that she was helpless in containing Williams, who had her best-scoring game of the season at the expense of Las Vegas.

"She cooked me, Plum said of Williams, per Callie Lawson-Freeman of the Las Vegas Review-Journal . “There's really not much to say."

Williams scored a season-high 22 points on an efficient 10-for-16 shooting from the floor. When she was not getting buckets, Williams was busy finding her teammates for quality scoring chances, as evidenced by her 10 assists to go with seven rebounds.

"She [Williams] had it tonight, and when you get your a-- kicked, you gotta give the other people credit," added Plum.

Plum had 20 points but the lackluster defense of the Aces proved to be too tough to overcome for the defending WNBA champions.

Las Vegas posted a 114.5 offensive rating in the game, but that did not ultimately matter because the Aces allowed the Lynx to record a dizzying 130.7 offensive rating . Minnesota also shot 59.4 percent from the field and 57.9 percent from behind the arc.

The Aces have now lost three of their last four games. They will take a rest this Thursday before getting back to work for a rematch versus the Lynx on Friday at Target Center.
