A wise man once said, “If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you play good.”

New York Giants rookie receiver Malik Nabers is making sure everything in order for a season worth the hype.

No, Nabers doesn’t know what number he’ll be wearing just yet. But on Tuesday, fans got a little closer to knowing what jersey they’ll be buying.

He joined Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber on WFAN to talk, partly, about what number he’ll don in a matter of weeks.

“I’m not pretty sure,” he said. “After camp, a lot of jerseys get written off, so we’ll see.”

As anticipation builds, Nabers’ impact feels almost inevitable. He’s been the star of spring practices and training camp, the focal point of the offense and the new face of the franchise.

The No. 6 pick gave additional clues as to what he’ll be wearing.

“That’s (eight) the number I want, but I’m not gonna get that one, so I'm trying to see whatever number looks good on me,” Nabers said.

“It’s gotta be a single, I’m not an odd-number person. It’s gotta be an even number.”

That No. 8, of course, belongs to quarterback Daniel Jones . It’s safe to say Nabers knew better than to make an offer.

“Nah, I already know it’s a lot,” he said with a laugh.

So No. 8 is off the board, as is No. 0. No. 4 forever belongs to Tuffy Leemans. Currently, No. 2 is backup quarterback Drew Lock’s. No. 6 is shared between receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton and punter Jamie Gillan.

If there’s a deal to be made, we think it may be cheapest with No. 6. He has less than three weeks to determine what number will be attached to every highlight from his rookie season.
