Red Bull's motorsport advisor has confirmed that Liam Lawson will have a seat within the Red Bull family for the 2025 Formula 1 season.

Lawson, a New Zealand driver, made his F1 debut last year at the Dutch Grand Prix, stepping in for an injured Daniel Ricciardo. His performance during that stint raised expectations for a full-time seat in 2024. However, both Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda extended their contracts with the team, leaving Lawson's future uncertain.

Recently, there were rumors that Lawson might join another team due to delays in Red Bull finalizing his position. These rumors have been dismissed, with assurances that Lawson's place in the lineup is secure for the upcoming season.

While Tsunoda has already signed on for another year, Ricciardo's contract is set to expire at the end of 2024. Speculation had suggested that Lawson could replace Ricciardo mid-season, but Red Bull has made it clear that this will not happen.

Additionally, there are ongoing discussions about Sergio Perez's future with the team. Despite having signed a two-year extension earlier this season, there are concerns that he could be replaced if he doesn't meet performance expectations.

As the 2024 season approaches, Lawson's confirmed spot in the Red Bull lineup adds an exciting element to the team's future.
