A Handful of Wildcats make Senior Bowl Watch List

As college football season gets ready to kick off, the scouts for the Reese's Senior Bowl have been hard at work the past couple of months making a list of players to watch for this season to potentially make the bowl game. The Reese's Senior Bowl an all-star type of event, meant for the best veteran players in all of college football.

Kentucky had just over a dozen players making the list for players to watch for this season. Those included representing the Wildcats on the offensive side are running back Chip Trayanum, offensive lineman Eli Cox, Jager Burton, Marques Cox, and Gerald Mincey, along with wide receivers Barion Brown and Ja'Mori Maclin. On the defense, Kentucky is represented by defensive back Maxwell Hairston, defensive linemen Deone Walker and and JJ Weaver, along with linebackers Jamon Dumas-Johnson and D'Eryk Jackson. Punter Aidan Laros is also included on the special teams unit as a player to watch for.

The Wildcats may be getting back to their Big Blue Wall roots this season, as this list includes four offensive lineman from Kentucky, and they're all very experienced. Jager Burton is the youngest of the four, as he is heading into his junior season, with the other three being seniors. Kentucky will have talented experienced players all over the field this season, and having 13 players on the Senior Bowl watch list backs that up. Georgia led with the most players included on the list with 20, followed by Alabama with 19.

The Reese's Senior Bowl scouts will be watching these Wildcats closely all season long.
