At the 2024 Paris Olympics, we were introduced to a new internet sensation, Team USA's "Pommel Horse Guy.”

His real name is Stephen Nedoroscik, and the 25-year-old gymnast drew many comparisons to Clark Kent (Superman) for removing his glasses while he competed. Fans also loved that he appeared to be sleeping until it was time for his event. He later revealed that he was meditating.

Nedoroscik left Paris with a bronze in the team portion and a bronze for the individual pommel horse final. He also left Paris with a massive set of new fans, as he now has 450,000 followers on Instagram—a 1,400% increase, according to a study done by USA TODAY .

On Thursday, his fans learned he'd be on “Dancing With the Stars." Nedoroscik was the first contestant announced for this season, which we learned from Thursday's episode of ABC’s “Good Morning America." An announcement that social media is absolutely loving.

"I cannot remember the last time I so badly wanted to see someone on #DWTS as I did Stephen Nedoroscik - and he's going to be dancing! Let's go, Pommel Horse Guy! I hope you get a pro who will spotlight you as well as challenge you," wrote one user on X .

"This guy's PR team needs a raise. Amazing. No notes," added another.

"And I WILL be voting for him," revealed one fan.

While GMA's Robin Roberts introduced him, the camera then panned to Nedoroscik, who was showing off some of his moves that he'd normally do on the Pommel horse.

As Roberts revealed in his introduction, Nedoroscik will become the first male gymnast to compete on the show.

When asked if he would bring any moves from the pommel horse to the dance floor, Nedoroscik said he'd like to implement a few.

“I want to bring some of that gymnastics, maybe a backflip or handstand,” Nedoroscik said . “I want to have fun with it.”

Aside from having fun with his moves, Nedoroscik also revealed he hopes to have some fun with the iconic glasses he wears for his condition, coloboma.

“I might have fun with it. I’m scared they’ll fly off, that’s the thing,” Nedoroscik said. “Maybe we could do a gadget, keep them on? Maybe a new pair of glasses, match the theme?”

Fans suspected that Nedoroscik would be on DWTS after his name was removed from the Gold Over America Tour team page , which will see gymnasts like Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles travel around the United States to show out for fans.

The rest of the cast will be revealed at a later date, according to Forbes .

Season 33 of "Dancing With the Stars" will air on September 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.
